Alexandra Taub

Alexandra was born in 2008 in Zurich as the daughter of a Russian-born concert violinist and a Swiss-American neurosurgeon. She is fluent in Russian, English, and German.

Alexandra joined the violin studio of Liana Tretiakova at the ZBSM in 2013 and since then performed at the school’s open concerts at the Villa Boveri (Baden), Haus zur Waag, Theater Stok (Zurich) and Rathaus (Zug). She also studies the piano.

In the short period of her violin studies, Alexandra has already mastered such virtuosic pieces as the Prelude and Allegro of Pugnani-Kreisler, the Kreisler Siciliane and Rigaudon, and the Tartini-Kreisler Variations on a Theme by Corelli. In Alexandra’s repertoire are also such well known pieces as Adagio and Rondo by Mozart and Concertos by Beriot and Spohr.
