Alexandra Taub

Alexandra was born in 2008 in Zurich as the daughter of a Russian-born concert violinist and a Swiss-American neurosurgeon. She is fluent in Russian, English, and German.

She joined the violin studio of Liana Tretiakova in 2013 at the ZBSM and since then performed at the School’s open concerts at the Villa Boveri (Baden), Haus zur Waag (Zurich) and Rathaus (Zug). She is also studying the piano.

In the short period of her violin studies, Alexandra has already mastered such virtuosic pieces as the Prelude and Allegro of Pugnani-Kreisler, the Kreisler Siciliane and Rigaudon, and the Tartini-Kreisler Variations on a Theme by Corelli.
