Summer Violin Masterclass in St. MoritzSt. Moritz, 15-20 July 2019

In summer 2019 the Zakhar Bron School of Music is holding its fourth masterclass in St. Moritz, Switzerland.

Priya Mitchell is professor at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz and artistic director of the Oxford Chamber Music Festival. As a recitalist and chamber musician she has performed extensively at international music festivals including Schleswig-Holstein, Schubertiade Schwarzenberg, Kuhmo, Lockenhaus, Risør, Heimbach, Ravinia, Lugano, Cheltenham, Bath, Stavanger and Trondheim.

Liana Tretiakova was a scholar of Professor Bron, and thereafter one of his assistants for many years. She has more than 20 years of experience of working with talented young violinists. Many of her students have already won top prizes at various international competitions in Switzerland, Italy, Latvia, Belgium and appeared at music festivals such as the Menton Music Festival, the Trans-Siberian Art Festival with Vadim Repin, at the Bolshoi Theater and with the Spivakov Foundation in Moscow, and others.

Courses: Depending on the age of the participants, on their technical level and goals, we offer three different lesson plans:

Plan 1: Lessons with Guest Professor only
Plan 2: Lessons with Guest Professor and Resident Professor
Plan 3: Lessons with Resident Professor and Assistant Professor

Concert: July 20th at the Hotel Laudinella

Course Fees:
600 CHF (5 lessons of 45 min and concert)
1.000 CHF (7 lessons of 60 min and concert)

Location: Hotel Laudinella, Via Tegiatscha 17, 7500 St. Moritz

Admission: Applicants between the ages of 6 and 18 are eligible to apply for participation. Participants will be chosen based on video recordings, which have to be submitted with the application form. The number of participants is limited.
