Concert At The Jean Cocteau Museum In Menton, France
On the 3rd of August 2017 Professor Zakhar Bron and the best students of the Summer Academy presented a violin recital under the auspices of the 68th Menton Music Festival.
The concert took place in the famous Jean Cocteau Museum and gathered a full audience. 10 year old Alexander Sahatci had the honor to open the concert with the first movement of the virtuosic Symphonie Espagnole by Lalo. He gave a powerful and confident performance. 9 year old Ilva Eigus was officially the youngest soloist in the history of the Festival founded in 1949. Ilva presented two pieces from the Prokofiev’s Ballett Cinderella. The audience was completely taken by the elegance and beauty of Ilva’s playing.
The concert was continued by Elvin Hoxha Ganiev, a 19 year old student of Professor Bron at the “Escuela Superior de Musica Reina Sofia” in Madrid. The winner of numerous competitions gave an outstanding performance of the Zigeunerweisen by Sarasate. The renowned master of violin teaching Zakhar Bron came out on stage with his student Elvin Hoxha Ganiev to interpret Prokofiev’s Sonata for two violins solo. The most complex polyphonic composition, inspired by Russian folk melodies, was performed with deep feeling. The performance of Stravinsky’s Divertisment by Professor Bron became the climax of the concert evening. The 70 year old violin master amazed the audience with his virtuosity and the depth of his interpretation. The audience gave the artist a standing ovation and was rewarded by three fantastic encores.
