Christophe Berruex was born in Vevey and received his musical education in Spain, Germany and Switzerland. He is a prize winner of national and international competitions and performs as soloist and chamber musician.
Christophe Berruex was born in 1987 in Vevey and began his piano studies first with Erardo Vietti and then with Jorge Pepi-Alos at the La Chaux-de-Fonds Conservatory, where he graduated in 2005. He then studied with Edith Fischer in Barcelona and later continued with Bernd Zack at the University of Art and Theatre in Rostock, Germany. Since 2009 he has been studying at the Zurich University of the Arts with Konstantin Scherbakov and Eckart Heiligers.
Christophe won various national and international prizes, such as the Swiss National Youth Music Competition (2nd prize 2003), «Pietro Argento» Competition (Bari, Italy 2005), «Eugenia Verdet» Prize (Barcelona, Spain 2006). He took part in masterclasses of such famous pianists as Paul Badura-Skoda, Karl Engel, Homero Francesch, Anne Queffélec, Zoltán Kocsis and Oxana Yablonskaya.
Christophe is an active chamber musician and soloist and appears regularly with the Musikkollegium Winterthur and the Jenaer Philharmonie.
