Ksenia NogovitsynaTheory of music

Ksenia Nogovitsyna has experience in teaching ear training, music theory, harmony, polyphony, musical analysis and music history. She has taught at the Music School of the Moscow Conservatory, at the Gnessin Music School in Moscow and at the Simkus Conservatory in Klaipeda (Lithuania).

Musicologist and a music pedagogue Ksenia Nogovitsyna was born in Klaipeda (Lithuania).

At the age of six Ksenia began her music studies as a violinist. After graduating from the Conservatory in Klaipeda she decided to focus on the theory of Music and continued her education at the Musical College in Riazan (Russia). In the years 2004-2009 Ksenia studied at the Musicology Department of the famous Moscow State Conservatory.

In 2010 Ksenia won an Italian State Scholarship for her Doctoral research at the University of Pavia, Musicology department in Cremona. The Doctoral Thesis focused on the genre of the Italian Concerto form of the early Barocco. It was defended successfully in 2016 at the Moscow State Conservatory.

Ksenia Nogovitsyna has experience teaching ear training, music theory, harmony, polyphony, musical analysis, music history, violin and basic piano. She speaks Russian, German, Italian and Lithuanian. Ksenia has taught at the Musical College in Riazan, at the Music School of the Moscow Conservatory, at the Gnessin Music School in Moscow, at the Italian School “Italo Calvino” in Moscow and at the Simkus Conservatory in Klaipeda.
